1792 Colgate Circle

La Jolla, CA 92037-6908

This very pleasant and private rambler is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a select part of La Jolla. Nobel Laureate Francis Crick, and his wife, artist Odile Crick, lived here from 1986 until 2007. During this time they added a large well-lit studio and an expansive office (Francis' desk and chair come with the house.)

Well suited for entertainment with a large living room opening onto an even larger deck, it is perfect for parties of 30-50 people. The home includes a temperature-controlled wine-storage room. Francis enjoyed entertaining guests on the patio area overlooking the pool and the well-maintained garden. Admire the view from Francis' "folly" at the end of the lawn.

"The Annex" is a separate apartment with its own bathroom and mini-kitchen -- suitable for live-in help, your mother in-law or your independent teenager. The Studio/Office area is currently rented to The Science Network. An additional five acres of land are available on adjacent lots, if a larger estate is desired.
